Playing the Older Ones LP right now and remembering how good they were. I think this stuff aged better than most Burzum or Immortal recordings.

Disagree! Although I sincerely think, that OLD FUNERAL were far better than the "name-dropping" cult for sure, it will surely not beat early BURZUM and -even- [EARLY!] IMMORTAL for plain quality!

| Ignoring the comparisons, Old Funeral is indeed great, though they weren't as good as Thou Shalt Suffer. |

| Molested is fucking brilliant, honestly one of my favorite Death Metal albums and right up there with Darkthrone - Soulside Journey and Fester - Winter Of Sin for Norway. |

| Old Funeral has always been highly overrated imho. Hadn't it been for the well-known members, they would have probably been ignored. Music lacked riffs and vocals were just awful. |

Molested is way better than Old Funeral. Both, CD and MCD, are really great. That material is being re-released soon, hopefully this time on vinyl too. |

| Yeah, Ars Magna is doing the reissue, but he hasn't mentioned anything about a vinyl version. I suspect that if it does happen on vinyl it will probably be licensed to another label. |

Yes, MOLESTED : Greatttttttttt Death METAL ala INACANTATION plñus some morbid feelings, plus longer monotomous riffs (not boring)....

you just have to get used to the vocals of the debut, and the "soft" whispering voice of the 2nd CD. "Silent Is The Raven" is their best song in my opinion. Very nice riffing. |

OLD FUNERAL demo was one of the best Death Metal demos from Norway. I didn't like the later stuffs they released after that. They had mixed with Black Metal.
