I recently stumbled upon the Discogs page from Absurd and I'm (still or again) wondering about the limitation of the Asgardsrei first press LP.
The entries on Discogs and MA for this are quite contradictory. Even at the time when it came out there were several opinions about that, but nobody knew for sure (obviously).
So I thought I could throw the 'Asgardsrei LP limitation'-piece of meat into the NWN lions den and see if somebody thinks he knows for sure.
Perhaps Mr. DTBRex can shed some light upon this matter.

Discogs page of the Gatefold version (here and here):
- lim 100: Gatefold version (not absolutely the first 100!)
- lim 400: Single sleeve version
- lim 100: red vinyl (Gatefold and single sleeve versions may include this)
- lim 400: black vinyl (Gatefold and single sleeve versions may include this)

Discogs page of the single sleeve version (here):
- lim 88: red vinyl (Gatefold and single sleeve versions may include this)
- lim 412: black vinyl (Gatefold and single sleeve versions may include this)

Metal Archives page (here):
- lim 88: Gatefold version + red vinyl
- lim 100: Gatefold version + black vinyl
- lim 312: Single sleeve version + black vinyl

(DMD once told me that the Gatefold version was made after his departure from Absurd.
But he thinks of the Gatefold version to be limited to 88 copies.)

Me neither. Keep it warm until someone on ebay is ready to pay 2 billion US$ for this...

90s NSBM recordings nowadays are a better investment than gold.

I highly doubt there's more than 88 red with the gatefold. My old label was one of the few distributors of this release when it came out and all I got was 25 regular black ones - even after asking several times for red/gatefold ones. It took me quite some effort to track down a gatefold one for my personal collection. I remember Wolftower already having some problems back then - not sure of what nature. They were located in Oswiecim - I can imagine authorities nog being happy nor proud with an album like that coming from there Cool
But I think JFN can shine some more light perhabs?

Don't think so as you can not sell them on any official platforms.

Nothing prevents private sales...
