Yeah this is true. Joel was looking for something bigger for a while. I hope it works out for him. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

First it was Earache, now Relapse is jumping on the retro-Thrash trend.
Soon Roadrunner will start signing bands with Ed Repka covers and white high-top sneakers. |

| TOXIC HOLOCAUST was around before all these shitty whitesneakered fags, and Evil Never Dies is an excellent release. Joel kinda lost me with the new stuff though... I don't really follow this band anymore. |

| I have got the impression that this retro-thrash thing started ca 10 years ago already with Gehennah, Guillotine and Infernö. |

RELAPSE used to be an underground leading label because of the quality of the bands but their current band line up is the worst ever...there is obviously a few exceptions & lets hope TH will somewhat mark a new direction for them... _________________ BLAZING OBSCURITY TAPE LABEL| http://blazingobscurity.blogspot.com/

New bands that sucks includes Bonded by blood...what a joke...soon we will see bands named Darkness Descends, Pleasure to kill, Persecution Mania or Hell Awaits...and we all know they will all do the Lewinsky thing...suck hard.
On to the subject, best luck to TH although their latest stuff is not exactly my thing, I prefer their debut and demos, but maybe things can change... _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Yeah I hate this whole 'retro thrash' trend. No doubt it'll fade away soon but frankly its sickening that former emo-kids are now latching onto the 'retro' thrash trend.
I think the difference with Gehennah and Inferno is that they are pretty unmarketable becuase they are quite rough and violent wheras many thrash bands right now are quite cleaned up and catchy.
To quote Sabazios Diabolus:
"All I can say is the '80's kicked ass but fuckin' all of you stupid faggots get over it. It's getting close to a new millennium and everyone should start writing music for a new millennium."

Bonded By Blood is from my area, they are definetely one of the biggest jokes. As soon as they were pointed out as thrash and signed to Earache, they started wearing leather, denim, high tops etc. Less then a year ago they were playing backyard shows with Cradle of Filth shirts on. I know this because my cousin went to school with their guitarist.
Maybe their rock star label suggested a new image that would sell. _________________

Isn't that the case with most fun thrash bands from LA? I hate all of them. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

I hope Joel won't wimp out. I don't think so, even if as some of you, I prefer the demos and the first album to anything he done after.
As for Bonded by Blood, they do suck but can they really be called thrash!? I don't think so.
When you guys talk about the retro thrash trend I understand what you mean because there is a lot of bands that are playing thrash because it is becoming ''popular'' again. But you know, I am 20 years old and I play thrash/death, why souldn't I be playing thrash when it is my favorite form of metal? Because it sounds dated and it's not from my decade? Bullshit. For sure some of these bands are there for fame or money, but others are only there for their love of metal. _________________ http://www.riotor.ca
