I would. If he can't take criticism on one line in lyrics I said were otherwise good without throwing a temper tantrum and beating me up, then he'd be a huge faggot. I tend to think most artists are prepared to deal with comments like that like adults, but there you go proving me wrong with your 8th-grade "WELL THEN SAY IT 2 MY FACE N c WUT HAPPENZ NIGGR" mentality.

Like i said, criticism is one thing; arrogance is another.

You're more than welcome to approach me in person and engage in a dialogue about how much you dislike my musical endeavours, but do it in good taste and like a man, not like some little know-it-all whore. If you cross the line however, there will be trouble - simple as that. I'd expect nothing less from anybody else who takes themselves and what they do seriously.

Would you have the balls to say that to MkM's face?

MkM is by far not the thoughtest guy in French Black-Metal. Laughing

However, I do not care about this band.

That's besides the point, the point is whether he would say it to his face or not. It doesn't matter if we're talking about Aosoth, Ghost, Blasphemy or whatever, the point is that it's all well and good to run your mouth off on an internet forum like a trve keyboard warrior, but when push comes to shove, would he say the same shit to a person's face?

I never had a problem with BLASPHEMY's music or attitude, so I had nothing negative to tell them ! Surprised

More seriously, I usually tend to ignore bands I don't like. If someone behaves like an asshole in front of me, things can be different, though.

Yeah but some idiots have a problem with the fact that Caller of the Storms is black for instance, but none of these purebred Aryan warriors would have the balls to go up to him and call him a n!gger to his face.

simulation of IRL dialogue:

blvtkvlt: "hey mkm, about this piece of sentence in one of your Aosoth songs, you know, i don't really like how it sounds when you say "I am so not you"."

mkm: "hey cool story, bro."

What a fascinating dialogue pages 6 and 7 of this thread have proven to be. Mountain out of a molehill, anyone?

I really hope that they play the first track off of III at RoD. Just like how AOSOTH plays ANTAEUS' Inner War live.

Honestly i don't see it happening.

Concerning MkM's lyrics, they've always been outstanding, so I wouldn't criticize it. One simple sentence can be uttered by many different persons and in some people's mouth, well, it would sound nasty as fuck and certainly not like a teenage girl. That's retarded.

I told BST at Revenge/Inquisition that the album was getting much praise and he seemed honestly surprised. His résumé is definitely flawed because of Aborted in the eyes of die hard BM fans, but he's a good composer, a great guitarist and sound engineer. He does not, however, have ANTAEUS' satanic hate (or something like that)

Well I'll have to contradict myself a little here.

FINALLY listened to the tracks of the album and I'm quite impressed.
Such a MASSIVE album, way better than their previous albums.
I don't know what drugs BST took for that MONSTER OF AN ALBUM but WOW

They say that the 3rd album is like hit or miss, a pivotal point, the album of maturity and stuffs like that, well, for once it's the case.

The track "I" is fantastic. Great riffing, massive atmosphere and the
gravel-filled vocals of MkM are awesome.

I need the splatter version.

For some reason i have never bother picking anything up from Aosoth. What is a good place to start ? I found a copy of Variations of Violence (i know its the instrumental version of III). Is it worth getting or is it only for Aosoth completists ?

I haven't heard the instrumental version, but III is a great place to start, as it's by far their best effort. If you like what you hear, work your way backwards in their discography. The second album, "Ashes of Angels", reminds me quite a bit of D.P.E. era Antaeus, if that's your thing...

Has anyone noticed a lot of surface noise (pops, etc) on the clear LP copy? I've been wearing out my CD copy since this came out, but I had only played the LP a few times. Yesterday I played my clear LP several times and noticed that it sounded very noisy. Nothing major, only notable sometimes. I have an anti-static brush similar to this that I use on my records before playing, and I generally don't have very much noise.

Great album. Just got both versions in from Agonia.

Most important and disturbing release yet! But the amount of clipping on this record is simply ridiculous. Perhaps it adds to the chaos...

Might have just found my answer.
