It looks like Martyrdoom is really upping the ante along with several of the other established festivals this year. 5 days, goddamn.

I don't see how an out of towner could ever afford 5 days at a fest in Brooklyn, NY.

Laughing

its trendy that there is a known venue for this. Unknown bands at an unknown venue with no information released is the only way to kult.

Looking forward to see what they'll have this year. Last year's line-up was top-fucking-notch.

Maybe I can be arsed to catch a band or two more than once.

That's a bit excessive.

As I get older, I go to fewer and fewer shows. The first Martyrdoom was perfect for me since it contained a near flawless lineup and was basically an extended show, where attendees could alternate between rooms and see their desired sets.

With fests like this, I would just grab a day-pass for the most appealing lineup. But I am not travelling from Florida for that.

Yeah, really.

I've been jerking off the dog to feed the cat just so I can afford 3 days at Defenders of the Old in March!

I had a great time last year, it was nice to have the day free and head to the concerts in the late evening. That said, I couldn't swing being there for more than two days what w/ work (Monday and Tuesday night shows, really?) and not being from the area. Can't help but feel a 3 day fest w/ more bands per day makes more sense but whatever.

Also what the fuck is Catharsis PR? Are there really PR companies involved in this kind of metal? Seems extra stupid.
