One of the most exciting and sinister bands going today.

One of the few bands nowadays where innovation and diversity does not mean a lack of quality. Mirrium Occultum will always have a special place as that was the record that introduced me to more underground black metal and made me follow what was being released in the present instead of only the past

Absolutely brilliant band. Certainly one of the bands that in my opinion are one of the best things to ever come out of Norway.

I only know their latest 2CD Imperator, which in my opinion is one of the best releases in the last year.

My only concern is to have two hours available to take a listen properly.

Check out some of the EPs then, they're a bit more manageable.

I didn't get into it too much.

From this batch of Norwegians I'm really looking forward to what Liturgia creates next. That last 7" was very good.

Liturgia is from Finland. But yeah, good stuff.

Didn't listen to Imperator with much attention, but I do remember it surprised me in a good way. Has a charm to it.

I would definitely say to listen to Mirium Occultum, it is not as much as a workout on the ears as Imperator is.

I'm a fan of everything they've done so far. In reference to the full lengths though, I find them to be quite diverse. I have several friends who dislike the band but enjoy Visionary and others who dislike visionary but enjoy Mirium, etc... Point being, all 3 full lengths are pretty distinct and if you like one its no guarantee you'll like the other. The EPs and whatnot are all pretty unique as well but moreso in the experimental sense as opposed to stylistically.
Favorites in order:
Visionary
Imperator/Mirium Occultum
Dodsengel (flawless release though imo)
Arkaik
Alongside Chronozon
Ecstatic Horror

They were the black metal band that really made me pay attention to emerging bands of their ilk also.

Great band. Imperator is my favourite.
