Consuming Impulse, Leprosy, Symphonies of Sickness, Nespithe, Deicide, Barathrum Vitriol [late addition] Altars of Madness totally, Autopsy first 2
Well that's nine... Albums that had a big effect on me. Ah, Goatlord - Reflections of the solstice. Demos? Thy Kingdom Come, Rottrevore demos ( i don't like the album), Disgrace 7", Demilich Demos, ummm.... Uh The Teitanblood Album... *lets look at what records I own - The Winter album! That's doom actually. Thou Shalt Suffer is Killer, as is First Immortal Demo, Old Funeral? Norwegian Death metal is kinda more like a cousin to Finnish death metal which I guess says alot... Necromass, that's pretty good death/black hybrid, not the best album tho.. hmm... Fuckin' IMPETIGO 1st and 2nd! Xysma 7"! Funebrarum 1st ablum is tha bomb. 2nd album is crap. Check out Malicious from Finland, A good Band that sounds more Swedish?? Thrashy stuff!: anyway.. . |

Now this is absolutely impossible... Too many to mention but here are the most significant albums ever on me :
Morbid Angel - Altars of madness
Carcass - Peel Sessions
Death - Leprosy
Carcass - Symphonies of Sickness
Deicide - Deicide
Morbid Angel - Abominations of desolation
Bolt Thrower - Realm of chaos
General Surgery - Necrology (well not actually an album)
Blasphemy - Fallen angel of doom
Morbid Angel - Domination
There are lots of newer stuff to enjoy too, but these are the albums that still spin on my player, have spinned since the day they were released. So I suppose they are THE greatest ones ever for me. I've had them all on on vinyl back in the days, now I have to listen cd's as I have no vinyls anymore. |

all the top faves already mentioned
totally agree with the ones preferring MA's ABOMINATIONS rather than ALTARS
I am always surprised how little recognition CANCER got. Both first albums are total killer.
Also the first two albums of MORGOTH are excellent.
