But I ever thought that "The Unsane" with their great "Inverted Crosses" M-LP (I still need the picture disc ( ) version of that) was the biggest (and best) Slayer clone (in a positive way)... |
Yeah, that was a good one, althou I alwasy though they were a bit more hardcore orientated...and that cover art rules!
Exumer second album also comes to mind too... |
I think more Slayer you can hear on the debut album of Exumer: even one track had ripped track from Black Magic \m/ _________________ http://dementedomen.org/ :: https://www.facebook.com/dementedomen/

the latest album is excellent and has Slayer reminiscences. Many screams angel of death styled. But they have this kind of epileptic fury we don't find in Slayer. |
That epileptic fury is becouse of crazy Eastern maniacal blood..he,he.. |

HOBBS' ANGEL OF DEATH always sounds like a mix between SLAYER and Persecution Mania to me, but I think he also had originality in his compositions.
RECIPIENTS OF DEATH I wouldn't necessarily consider a SLAYER clone, similar but not a clone, they just played the typical Los Angeles thrash sound of the 80's, they remind me more of DARK ANGEL than SLAYER. |

Way too frustrating vocals if you ask me, but the riffs are ok, that I admit.

That one with that hydra caricature on the cover? A rather pale copy/clone.

Agreed. First album was killer, the rest blow. It was pure thrash. Vocals sounded extremely similar. |
