Excellent. I've been looking forward to a Mefitic LP for some time now.

Since the NWN IV thread shifted gears to suggestions for the next fest, I'll bump this to ask: how was Mefitic at the fest? What songs did they play? Was the crowd big for them?

Drakkar Productions just started uploading all of Mefitic's releases onto Bandcamp (probably trying to tap into their NWN appearance?). It's nice to hear the cassette releases in digital quality, at least. My tapes had a few bothersome pops and buzzes.

Their performance was amazing. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about their set.

Very good track, great atmosphere, great production.
Not falling to my knees nonetheless, need to listen to the whole thing

Cool track. It's very 'now' sounding but I like it. The first bit sounds like Grave Miasma making up riffs with out of tune guitars. In a good way!

This new track is underwhelming contrary to the previous material. Something doesn't click and it sounds exactly like the rest of the bands in the genre.

This might be an album to be heard in its entire context.

The cover art is fantastic.

Looking forward to delving more into this soon.

I don't think that's particularly fair, after all they've been together for 11 or so years now and had releases out before Grave Miasma. I really don't think this sounds like a huge departure from their demos and eps, just that it has a clearer sound. I personally like this a lot more than other bands of this ilk, there's a lot more attention paid to dynamic, variation and good riffs here rather than the usual "miasma" of dissonance. I'm personally quite looking forwards to this album!

On a similar note, a compilation of earlier material would be cool too! I have both demos and a few vinyl releases, but missed a few of them! It would be good to have them all in the same place!
