Don't forget to make the pictures at 300 DPI (file/new/300 DPI) or use some already made templates...
If it looks like crap, do it by hand with the photocopy machine. Sometimes it's the best way of doing it! |

| They can be killer if done right. Just don't use ANY effects and you should be ok. |

Hey, just wondering if you have vinyl factories in Australia?
If not, where do you send your records to be manufactured?
thanks _________________ Looking for DEATH METAL bands!

Yeah, there is a vinyl press plant here in Melbourne I will go through. I'm just waiting to hear back from the two bands I've contacted and will go from there. One will be a 7" and the other a MLP or LP _________________ Glorious Dawn Upon The Plateau Of Might Now Burns!!

Photoshop should be used to alter images. Illustrator for layouts and texts. Vector texts come out much shaper. _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

Agreed!
The design should be saved as high resolution like 300+++ dpi for ultimate visual!
And make sure you ask the printer to send test print before agree to press finalize copies. Small mistakes could fuck up the whole sleeve. Most important! |

Yeah, Illustrator is great for keeping everything nice and crisp. In Design is the best though - but it is a bit harder to master than Illustrator. Anyway, here's a few basic tips for ya:
- If possible, try to keep the overall colers to under 3 in total (except for band pictures)
- Don't use really strange fonts (keep 'em regular... you'll understand later)
- Don't stretch images even though you want them to fit. (Same thing goes with text!) |
