Not "D-beat war metal" (WTF? Haha) but I´ve heard more than once the term "crustcore d-beat war" referring to the Swedish band Warvictims.

If you´re looking for violent d-beat influenced music you can check bands ala Bolt Thrower, Hellkrusher, After the Bombs, Sanctum...

Indeed, one of the best bands from the past few years. If you´re into them you may dig After the Bombs, Limb from Limb, Stormcrow, Extinction of Mankind, Instinct of Survival, Hellbastard and the alikes...

Yep, some of those are really good bands. Very aggressive and heavy. The productions these bands are getting I really like as well as they're quite loose and very heavy/dense unlike a lot of the boxy, compressed bullshit you hear today.

alot of these "so called death/black metal" bands are super uptight gays anyhow. that is why these bands like inepsy, sanctum etc are more old school metal then these compressed, trigger, outfit wimps. and appeal to the older audience then say, you know marduk or something.... Laughing

If bands spent more time concentrating on writing worthwhile music instead of bandying around inept philosophies then we'd all be better off!

Can´t agree more. I missed Inepsy the first and only time they came to Spain due to the Nuclear Gathering on Berlin. Newest album wasn´t as good as the earlier stuff though.

It´s even called stechcore.
Wink

D-Beat is quite an old term.
We like to refer to the usual war metal beat as "Holzfäller" - wood cutter/lumberjack (beat).

In the crust scene, they still called it "d-beat". Usually I don't give a damn becuase most of all these bands mainly talked about crap stuffs like politics, straight edge, ethics, blablablabla...Fuck them!

I don't care for the lyrics, but I really like crust and d-beat stuff. In this side of Canada it's really popular... and we got some great stuff going on!

Montreal:

INEPSY - Motörpunk with some discharge influences... first two albums and 7" are excellent. The new album sounds more like Rock'n'roll stuff... still good, but not the same style at all. (Ex-DECONTROL members)

AFTER THE BOMBS - Crust in the style of SACRILEGE, BATHORY, BOLTHROWER... it sounds fucking deadly. So much energy going on with this band!! The vocalist is the co-owner of the Katacombes bar and the one who organized the killer Montreal Metal Massacre fest with Razor, Anvil, Exciter and Piledriver

Ottawa:

TRIOXIN 245 - Sounds like Tank and Motörhead meets Discharge. Killer stuff. I recommend ALL their stuff.

Japan also has a killer d-beat crust scene: EFFIGY, G.A.T.E.S., DISCLOSE, etc... as does Scandanavia and the US...
