I'd probably say Sepultura were the biggest let down... how anyone goes from BESTIAL DEVASTATION to to tribal drum beat-off jam session is beyond me.

Most bands are disappointments in my eyes. Very few it seems are able to carry on without burning out and/or turning into complete shit. This is why I'm never upset when bands break-up in their prime.

To name a few major ones:

SLAYER

Went from kings to complete out-of-touch wash-up's. The saddest part is many idiots still think they're great.

MORTUARY DRAPE

Buried in Time was a pile of shit. But Wildness Perversion agrees and promises the next one will be in the same vein as the older records...we shall see.

ROOT

Last record was terrible. I know most don't like the most of what came after The Temple in the Underworld, But Madness of the Graves had some pretty sinister material.

MAYHEM

Even if they still made music similar to De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, I'd still spit on this band. Necrobutcher (who LEFT the band because he was a wimp and Hellhammer (who WANTED to leave the band) are just milking the legacy. Atilla rejoining means nothing to me. That guy sang on two classic albums in his career but most made complete crap. He's also making the band look even more stupid than Maniac did, with his silly costumes.

I never was into Darkthrone luckily so FOAD isnt disapointment for me.
