Get the split with Gyibaaw -- two great bands in one!
Can't wait for Parasignosis! |

Yeah the debut is really cool, but it's so long I can't listen to it all at once. Pretty intense music for a 70 minute CD. But that just shows these guys have ideas galore, hopefully they'll pick the best ones for the new CD and keep it around 45 minutes... |

| Very excited for this. I'm enjoying "Trials" a lot. Good to see Mito on a stable label. |

The full version isn't out yet, but I think the bands still have copies of the tour edition (which has all their original tracks on it, anyway -- the full version will also have a bunch of cover songs). _________________

New track is monstrous, but I'm not surprised. Mito has already shown great things in the past. Also, excellent cover on Parasignosis! It's definitely going to be a killer album!
Are there any news about reissue of Archaeaeon? I've heard it is coming on vinyl, but what about CD? It's shame that such a monumental album was pressed only on 666 copies. Waiting for this and Parasignosis! |

NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH PROFOUND LORE!
The new album from the Canadian purveyors of epic ambient occult death metal chaos, namely MITOCHONDRION, is now available exclusively through our website prior to its official Jan 2011 release date.
Meticulously and obsessively pieced together over a period spanning several years, “Parasignosis” takes the sound MITOCHONDRION formulated on their “Archaeaeon” debut and stretches it even further through an infinite sonic vacuum of cosmic death metal horror. Through its flowing and cyclical nature, “Parasignosis” is a death metal album that summons a dark and sinister atmosphere like no other. An album that creates otherworldly ambience through the vast layers of intricately placed sounds formulated through a multitude of sonic textures that help to create one of the most brutal, chaotic, psychedelic, and most challenging and overwhelming death metal albums of our time. Even though “Parasignosis” can be quite the exhausting listen, its overbearing and suffocating nature is what makes such an album a unique all-encompassing overpowering listening experience.
Featuring stunning artwork created by Alexander Brown

| Great album from a great band. Had this for just over a week now (thanks again Chris!) and think its a great blend of pent up dread and violence but done with intelligence. Brooding and dark as fuck. Bad News really did a number with the artwork on this as well, the talented bugger that he is! Highly recommended....and no it doesn't sound like Portal which is a question I seem to have been asked quite a bit this week for some reason. Fuck knows why... |

Sounds like a reasonable question, if you ask me. Same label, both death metal bands with a similar description on the label's website. |
