I thought it wasnt too bad, the production has took one step back which is a good thing in my opinion. Loved all the previous albums so im deffinetly giving a chance for the (whole)album.

I loved it. Slightly different but really good. Would rather judge after listening to the whole album though.

IMO, it's great, but then again I enjoy their entire discography.

Here's a review of the album:

I'm a fan, but judging by that track, I think they've dumbed down their music a notch, which is rather bad.

It's still got potential though and I'm looking forward to it. It could sink in as well as their previous efforts anyway.

This track is absolutely not indicative of the entire album. It really is a cinematic experience. Listen to the whole thing when you get a chance.

Is it just me or does anyone else think they made the drums a bit too loud in this mix?

I'll wait until I've got the record in my hand before listening to it. Looking forward to the new one, great band.

I love Agalloch and i've heard this track a fair few times already, it sounds great and Aesop's a good drummer so i don't care if the drums are mixed highly. Looking forward to hearing the whole album.

The snare drum is a bit irritating but I guess I get accustomed to it.

WTF are you talking about?
I think it's great.
One of America's best bands.

It almost seems like they're in mono... and the snare is a bit loud. Comparisng to other albums, it seems closer to "The Mantle".

The drum sound is really good...but, it doesn't sound fully mixed. The snare is a little over-powering and they do sound like they're in mono, which is super weird. The snare sound is fucking incredible though. It's so fucking huge. This track got me really excited. I haven't listened to Agalloch in a long time. I am doing that right now. Can't wait for the new album.

Well, quality ain't the best possible one, so I'm gonna wait until the album gets released for a more solid kind of opinion. For the time being though, I liked the track, but I didn't love it; which is a bad thing for Agalloch, cos I just love their previous works. Actually, some parts of the song gave me an Amesoeurs / Alcest kind of feeling, which ain't really a bad thing, I do enjoy this kind of music and their melodies ain't thaaat far from what Agalloch represents. But, it's not working out this time, it feels as if it's ''trying'' to sound great, and the overall result is merely ok. And the bm part, wtf, is sounds as if it's popping out of nowhere. I dunno though, perhaps my opinion will be a different one when the album gets released and I listen to it as a whole. So..
