Latest album was very enjoyable, and sure to be a spectacle. Plus, Peste Noire would be interesting at worst live.

It depends on whether you got a free ticket or not, present Mayhem isn't worth 5 bucks imho. I can't believe there is still someone out there buying records of this worthless band.

Some people have told me that the new album is pretty good but seeing how I haven't heard it I can't say. However Mayhem these days are one of the 'big' black metal bands. I won't be surprised if they start attracting the Dimmu Borgir fanbase, due to Hellhammer being involved:

The new album is the best since DMDS, in my opinion, but that doesn't exactly speak volumes...

I'd go to see PESTE NORIE... I haven't liked anything MAYHEM have done since their reunion, and even their live renditions of old songs are ruined. I couldn't stand Mediolanum Capta Est.

Being one of my favest bands ever (back on the time) and after seeing how Hellhammer has ruined their legacy, I wouldn't attend to a Mayhem show unless I'd come across them on a festival or something. On the other hand I'd give them a "chance" to say it so, just to see them performing with Attila even if my expectations are rather poor as well.
