A friend of mine just sent me 3 songs from a (Therion?) demo claiming that they sound more grindcore-like than the other demo tracks he had, also the track lengths are different than stated on metal archives.

Please take a listen and let's see if someone can identify what the hell it is... Carbonized maybe?

That is NOT Therion. But definitely Swedish and I can hear Christoffer on vocals. Can't remember such a Carbonized demo, aargh. Maybe it is Procreation ?

There should be a Carbonized demo compilation.

Thanks dudes, looks like it is that promo 90 indeed... and yes, there should be a Carbonized compilation, one of the best bands hailing from Sweden EVER.

Any other info about the other song (tagged as Therion's "Paroxysmal holocaust") would be appreciated.

Isn't it the same song? It maybe appears in Carbonized unititled demo or in Procreation EP, which according to m-a is a different recording, then the one in their demo. I couldn't find semples in the net.

Yeah, it's "Emperors of Death" from the 1991 Carbonized demo. Probably recorded late in 1990 when Christophe joined the band.

Hey, thanks. Spent a lot of time browsing Therion/Carbonized/Procreation stuff on metal archives but didn't even consider checking Carbonized's post-FTS stuff.
