I haven't seen a lot of discussion about this incredible NWN reissue. It's truly some of the most barbaric death metal I've ever heard. And as always with NWN LPs, the packaging is also incredible (even more so then usual).

Morbid Rites is brilliant death/thrash that is chaotic as it is controlled. Violent yells from the pits of hell adds a certain chill to the whole atmosphere, especially if you're listening on headphones in a dark room...SUPPORT!

this is bizarre...someone just made a youtube video for death yell and it just includes pictures of the lp. many of them were just taken from yosuke's website. i guess its admirable that someone felt so passionately about the record but its a little weird too.

One of the best releases on NWN! as far as I'm concerned... DEATH YELL truly sounds like they just threw a tape recorder right into hell and fished it out about a half hour later.
The live show is great too! |

Morbid Rites was a reissue of their 1989 demo and they've been dead for a while now... unless any new information has popped up that I'm not aware of, DEATH YELL is long gone... |

Of course Atomic Aggressor and Pentagram. I quite like Torturer too, but they're nowhere near as raw as the typical South American bestial style. |
