They are great fans of the band, which is not to say the links end there; Antti Litmanen did guitar duties for Mana Mana/Murheen Laakso (the posthumous Mana Mana offshoot doing MM tracks live) whilst Mana Mana geetar wizard Otra Romppanen - one of the greatest guitarists on the planet, not to mention a gloriously everyday looking hobo - did licks and riffs for the King Fear track "Veritas", which is based on the Mana Mana original "Elämä on murheen laakso". There's some useless trivia for you all.

While on the topic of Mana Mana; they are one of the handful of bands that might be better than the Whores. Their album Totuus palaa (1989) is easily one of the top three records to come from Finland. You might need to know certain things about the culture and language of this country to fully appreciate it, though.

Was lucky enough to spot them live in some pub in HKI, the night before Black Flames of Blasphemy. I remember being crushed by the heavy tunes they performed, in spite of a somewhat altered condition of mine.

I've been told that as well, but I guess this could apply to any band using their native language relatively to their non native speaker fans, English being a slightly different case, maybe.

Isn't their album quite hard to track down, even in Finland btw?

The original LP is relatively difficult to find (sells for +-50e I reckon) but the repress on the Complete... Kaikki compilation (CD 1996, 2nd edition 2000) is still widely available.

There's possibly a reissue of "Totuus Palaa" LP coming out next year (on Combat Rock Industry, if I recall). Finally. Wouldn't mind seeing Murheen Laakso album coming out on vinyl as well. Both killer.
"Complete... Kaikki" CD was out of print for 6 months or so, now back in press and well available again.

...and what comes to ReichnRoll's condition, he was badly wasted that night as well haha!

A great band on record & stage.
I like King Fear the best; Exit Eden, Radio Werewolf, etc., although nothing beats Hellboy. Death Of The West is such a monolith that it needs to be listened in peace in order to be fully enjoyed.
Entertaining as well. I remember Terrorizer staff being somewhat confused after interviewing them, and who can blame them.

Brilliant Hard Rock. Saw them on the same tour as Mike/INHUMAN, and scored one of their 'Helsinki Death Rock' shirts for $5 at a yard sale last year. Another riveting post from me.

you should post pics of that t-shirt. you don't have to include a model unless it's in mint condish.
