Laser etching (I presume) on the unused area of the underside of the disc:

That's pretty cool. Wonder how much it costs?

Well.... shouldn't cost that much considering literally everyone can do the process at home, well on CD-R's designed for it and if you have the right kind of burner/drive.

I would think that to not be a really large cost factor due to that. Certainly not something done very often cause I have not seen that before either. Usually bands try to write 70mins of music these days, doesn't tend to leave the room for that flashy artistic element. Laughing

Seen it done a few times. Looks really cool. I've always wondered how much it would cost.

lots of discs from Kunsthauch are made like this.

But also Dark Furys Saligia from Lower Silesian is printed on this side.

Yup most of the releases I have from them have this etching. Haven't seen many other labels doing it.

Was going to mention this. Very nice touch indeed.

Midnight Odyssey - The Forest Mourners released on Kunsthauch is a great instance of this.

The Coven CD from Shadow Kingdom (I think) has this as well. Only instance I've encountered myself. It's a nice touch.

I like it, CDs need all the help they can get.

That Midnight Odyssey CD looks great. Wonderful band - I'm glad he's getting some more attention these days.

Nunslaughter's Hell's Unholy Fire also has a really badass laser etching on the underside of the disc

If I remember the s/t cd from Russian(?) band Waldgeist had this as well. It had runes around the outer edge. That stuck out because it was the first time I'd seen it.

That's really cool. As a fan of CDs, I'd like to see more of this.

Me too. Sometimes I forget what CD is what and end up putting it in the wrong case. Happens more than I care to admit.
