There are too many threads here who just deal with the soundtracks of those movies, so this one here is for people who actually know the movies and understand that the soundtrack is only a part of the whole art and would not exist without the movie in the first place.

I haven't seen them all but City if the living dead is something really special.

I voted for "Zombie 2". I love that movie! But "The Beyond" is also an amazing movie. Still, you should have included "Aenigma" in the poll. That one is also very good!

Can't pick but its either the beyond or House by the...

You should have put in the black cat instead of Manhattan baby.

I prefer the Giallo films to the Zombie films so Argento > Fulci.

I had to go For New York Ripper. I'm a sucker for any NY 70s/80s films, the seediness hooks me in every time. Love the other stuff too, well, Manhattan Baby is just odd, still entertaining though.

I voted for House By the Cemetery, though I have some difficulty figuring out why I like it so much. I mean, the way the movie was edited gives it this nightmarish quality that I appreciate, for starters. I don't think the movie gets everything right by any stretch of the imagination, but I felt compelled to vote for it because it's really quite strange. Actually, it almost reminds me of Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive thanks to the weird pacing and dreamlike qualities. To date, I have no idea if I really like or totally hate that movie.

The Beyond, though it was a tough call.

Sorry for not including those mentioned, I just made the poll out of my head and to be honest, I haven't seen all Fulci movies so far myself.

My vote went to "City of the Living Dead", although "Zombi 2" is a close competitor:

- best soundtrack
- best setting (Dunwich, "Lovecraftian")
- best atmosphere in general
- ultra disgusting gore

@ Phantom Feel: Good call on the similarity of Hooper's "Eaten Alive" with "House by the Cemetary", I see what you mean. Very underrated movie anyway (the Hooper one).

By the way: This guy here is the eternal hoodlum of Italian B-movies, he got a beating more than once from Spencer & Hill as well.

I'd go with The Beyond or City Of The Living Dead depending on the day. Haven't seen that many from him though, only the "classics".
Manhattan Baby was a total piece of shit and I was very disappointed at all of his westerns (though Silver Saddle wasn't that bad for what it was). Very uneven director. I tend to like more constant directors like Bruno Mattei.

Lucio Fulci may be my favorite film director. I'd go for The NY Ripper but Don't Torture a Duckling and A Lizard in Woman's Skin come close.
