I am looking for recommendations on any split releases that have matched BM and Noise together successfully. I don't really want arty-farty noise stuff that has harsh BM vocals and no riffs, rather harsh cruel BM spliced with blasts of sheer noise. I have the Bone Awl/ The Rita collaboration (the Bone Awl thread inspired this one so thanks to the thread started Wink ) and the Ride For Revenge/ Bizarre Uproar collaboration, both of which I think work brilliantly well. What appeals to me is the crude way in which the Metal parts and Noise parts are frankenstiened together. It is rough around the edges and no real attempt seems to have been made to segue one piece into the other. It is that crudity that I am after so fire away with any stuff worth checking out.

I dont know for the splits but for example as some kind of "mix" of black metal and noise experimental music , Norwegian UTARM was very good!

I'll check them out, cheers. I love the way RfR use noise in general throughout their albums, actually. It always just kind of jumps out when you least expect it, lasts a fleeting moment and then disappears. There is no real attempt to mesh it in with the song, it is almost like some kind of interference.

Hmmm, that is alright but it is not really what I was looking for. I would consider that stuff more to do with the noise end of things with a Black Metal aesthetic. I am looking for stuff that is predominantly Metal based and utilises harsh noise as a foil rather than the noise aspect being the main focus.

I highly recommend the Humiliation / Nekrasov split cd. I have several copies, I can send you one for postage costs. Pm me if you like.

Harsh/surreal noise amorphously melded with thundering, primitive BM riffs.

Knelt Rote's first LP From Without released on Celestial Gang blends some excellent blistering grinding blackened chaos with abrupt excerpts of harsh noise. Vocalist Gordon Ashworth also does harsh noise project Oscillating Innards and expertly combines his viscous noise assualts into the band. Along with Tim of Parasitic Records we have sent a new MLP from Knelt Rote to press called 'Insignificance' which brings the band to an even more terrific forefront still melding noise with chaotic grinding d-beating war. Worth a listen! A couple of tracks from the old LP are available for listening on their website kneltrote.com

I always thought that Nyogthaeblisz had a fucked up noise aspect to their black metal, if you haven't listened to them.

yeah, nyog. def. maybe fear of god or something like that?

also, check out the flying luttenbachers "revenge" or "the void". might be a too diverse/non-dogmatic for you, but it's some serious blast beats and cacophony. you prob. wouldn't like the other albums, so start with those. you're prob. going to download them for free, so you have very little to lose.

the void LP blew my head, i ordered on a whim expecting early luttenbachers sound but was pleasantly surprised with the change in direction.
