I wouldn't consider myself an expert on this scene, but a few bands you might look into:
Sacrilegium, Gontyna Kry, Profanum (only the first album has electric guitars), North, Grom, Carpicornus, early behemoth, early Hermh, Thunderbolt, Saltus _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

No, i think he's after the real old-school sound and not just any polish bm. The bands who pionereed the slavonic metal thing right? I'm a huge fan of early Behemoth and Graveland and i'm constantly looking out for bands from that period.
You must've heard all of the early Behemoth releases. They're absolutely incredible, some of my favourite music ever. I'm not sure if you have heard it but the first Arkona album "Imperium" is excellent. Veles "Night On The Bare Mountain" is another classic. You can also try Dagor - "Songs Of The Slav Ground" (Demo 1995), the band My Infinite Kingdom.etc A newer band with some good material in the old vein is Szron. |

From today's polish black metal underground I shoul recommend also Leichengott, Plaga, Legacy of Blood, Revenge, Besatt, Beleth, Actum Inferni, North (newest material is more pagan black/death, but you should check it out). From older materials you should check out Xantotol. Bestial Raids and Cultes des Ghoules are one of most known polish underground BM bands, but thier music is a bit different than other mentoined in this thread so not sure you'll like them. _________________ http://dementedomen.org/ :: https://www.facebook.com/dementedomen/

One of the newer bands I found most impressing is definitely Azelsgard . This stuff could very well date back to the same olden days with In the Glare of Burning Churches, United Aryan Evil, Night on the Bare Mountain or Taur-Nu-Fuin. Totally recommended!
Another band worth checking out is Hatenwar . Despite the slightly clumsy name, they have caught the same spirit as their predecessors. I'd say the demo compilation Black Metal War is a good starting point with Hatenwar.
I've been spending lots of time with Polish classics lately - in all its extremity Polish black metal is truly inspiring. Their way of combining folk influences with chaotic and extreme black metal just can't be beaten! _________________ STENCH OF DECAY |

WAR 88 / Lord of Evil!!!
If you are into early polish sound, Werewolf's two albums "The Temple of the fullmoon" and "The Order of Vril" are a good choice! |
