The early releases on Drakkar Productions were like those put out by Full Moon Productions almost always incredibly charming, despite their wildly varying quality. Tjuder's Kill for Satan wasn't quite as menacing as Warloghe's The First Possession or Watain's Rabid Death's Curse, but I just loved it, haphazard production included. Given today's saturation of traditional black metal bands, it's hard to imagine how it made it's way into End All Life's elite catalogue, but music of this kind was obviously a rarity back then. Anyone else into this album?

Big fan of the band. Kill For Satan is nice gem.

Why not including the first two demos? It was the only material which was cold and misanthropic compared to the super bombastic style of the albums.A repress would be very welcomed. If I remember well the guitarist of those two demos was not in the band anymore once they changed style.

Haven't heard anything other than Desert Northern Hell but that was solid enough, if unexceptional.

I preordered the Throne of the Goat reissue. Can't wait for it to arrive.

This. Not a bad band, but derivative and forgettable. One of many also-rans.

Definitely peaked on their 7". Absolutely a throw away band. Mostly garbage.

Why? Because Tsjuder iss 100 times better than any of that "only 100 vinyl copies pressed, recorded in the basement of a burnt out shack in the woods of the Netherlands with the mic stuck sideways up the vocalists ass as he shouts Anton LeVay limericks while draped in a Nazi flag" bullshit that you think is SO über kvlt? I understand.

I'm only suprised that you did not write "trve kvlt".

Not very interesting band. There are so many better bands from Norway alone.

Laughing

New poll: which member of Tsjuder do you think looks the most like a juggalo?

Guitarist?
Drummer?
Bassist?
All three?

The band's cheese factor is undeniable, especially after Kill for Satan, where it skyrocketed.

Here's a solid live performance of Lord of Terror from 2002: https://youtu.be/bXPEbLT_6R4

Oddly enough, I find "Legion Helvete" to be their most solid and penetrating release. Plenty of deranged riffage on that record, it just needs some time and patience to grow on the listener.

2 Frozen - another funny fact albeit unrelated to TSJUDER. Daughter of Pytten, sound engineer at famous Grieghallen Studio used to be a member of Norwegian National Handball Team.

I must say, I found them to be extremely generic, even back before I had lost the last bit of interest in this particular type of sound. But, then I saw them live opening for Carpathian Forest around 2003, and they completely blew me away then. They crushed CF for sure. And I actually find Desert Northern Hell to be very good for what it is, though I usually can't take more than 3-4 songs at a time. I think it is the drummer that makes the difference. He's extremely groovy, even at the higher speeds. Very talented, and that made all the difference in the world live, which gave me an appreciation for the band I might not otherwise have.
