Streaming in full here.

Sounding like an imploding cloud of cosmic black metal bilious vomit from the void. And I fucking like it.

Listened to the whole thing. Another excellent effort from BaN. Love the production and how HEAVY it is. Will pick this one up.

Not their best but still pretty cool.

Impius is probably my favourite. Normally when bands go weird with vocals it annoys me but that shit fits with the guitars.

It sound like a drums prog, but i read that BAN has a real drummer now, so what's the reality?
Anyway, it's excellent material again!

Those are not real drums, that's for sure.

I heard they used real drums on the Triunity split, but don't know what happened after that. In fact, I haven't heard anything new since that split.

Thorns did the drums on Triunity and MVIII.

I'm glad Vindsval hasn't decided to use a real drummer on everything as I really don't think it'd work as well on most of the band's output. Wouldn't go as far as saying that they'd ruin albums like Odinist and TWWTG but they'd detract significantly from them. Would prefer MVIII to have had programmed drums, really. Even though the MV albums are like their more traditional melodic BM sorta stuff I think the drums on the first two helped to create a fairly unique atmosphere.

The more industrial/experimental sounding albums would definitely be weaker with a real drummer.

I do wonder if there isn't a part of him that's started to think about performing live. I know he's constantly rejected the idea but still. Getting Thorns involved and the increasing focus on 'visuals'.

That said, Godflesh rock the drum machine live so.

I'm generally not a fan of drum machines, but it's an integral part of the BaN sound in my opinion. They didn't sound right without that mechanical element, so I'm glad it's back (for now at least).

Same. Kinda lost interest in the project when they started using real drums. I checked some minutes of MVIII today and it just sounds bad.

Indeed! I agree with you guys, the drums machine is definitely an important point in the BAN sound!

I recieved the albums few days ago and gave it few listens, it's quite very dense and difficult to enter but it's a very interesting album, Chorea Machabeorum is insane, I would mentioned Apostasis, Abisme and Revelatio too for the moment. Vindsval never made a mistake, respect and hails to BAN!

Bought it today. A great album that reminds me of some of the previous darkest records of this incredible project. Indeed, its main weakness (in addition to it being too short!) is that there are (too) many older BAN records which can be heard throughout this one. Luckily they are mixed with yet unheard elements and combinations which make Deus... 666 times better, deeper...than most of these days BM records. Anyway, in itself, it's another monolithic monument that must be worshipped by every follower or magister of the dark path.
