This band were fucking huge in metal circles nack in the mid to late 80s. everyone loved them, I never understood it (fuck "socially aware" lyrics) but thesedays with so much shit being released I started going back to old records I didn't like and I started to really appreciate NA.

anyone else??

I only have the debut but it really is a fine piece of punkish thrash / speed metal! Gotta check out the other albums some day, seen all of them dirt cheap at record fairs.

Not a fan of "social aware" lyrics myself either usually, but NUCLEAR ASSAULT is one of my Thrash favorites for sure!

i recently got the glenn evans side project CIA demos which are similar in style. man his vocals sucked. only the demo 1989 is bearable because it has a different vocalist

I never got into them either but that youtube video is great... it's basically longhairs playing Cro-Mags riffs. What's their best album?

My "Game Over" vinyl has become grey from the countless plays it's had since I bought it. "Stranded in Hell" is one hell of a song, and not really socially aware.
"Survive" was good as well, from then on it's just rehashed to decent material, which I hardly remember to be honest.

I got a cool Nuclear Assault bootleg LP in stock recently. 'Live, Suffer, Die' and a 1985 Rehearsal in clear yellow wax. I need to add them to the distro.

I went to see Nuclear Assault when they toured with Testament and Savatage in 1990, but there were so many people lined up outside the club that by the time we got in Nuclear Assault was already playing the last song of their set. Laughing I was fuckin' pissed...

"Game Over" will always be one of my favourite albuns of all time! And what I enjoy most on that album is that every time I listen to it, it always sounds like the first time. "Betrayal", "Stranded in Hell", "Vengeance" and "Brain Death" are amazing songs. "Hang the Pope" is something beyond vulgar words.

*thread @ F5*

Yes, this.

Handle with Care was the last useful LP of the band. Anthony Bramante definitely ruled!
