a mi me gusto mucho los primeros tres LP s de METALLICA !
MOP is so fucking heavy from start to finish.
quite minimal in some of the riffing - using 2 or three chords to ultimate heaviness.

I agree 100%. I like everything up to and including Justice. First time I saw them was the 88-89 Justice tour. Definately one of my top 5 concerts. As far as Puppets, "Orion". Fucking love it! |

Puppets is such a fucking masterpiece! That album still continues to impress me in new ways even today. I was so blown away by it when I first heard it years and years ago. I couldn't even say a solid favorite stand-out track on it, but 'Orion' always gets spun, no matter what.
I think it's kind of futile trying to compare Metallica albums (the 4 that count, anyways). They are all such individually different albums from one another and each so indicative of where the band was at in their career. I guess what I love about Puppets is that it's just so huge and epic in its scope and execution.. it just destroyed people's notions of what thrash or metal could be.
I must also say that I find the disintegration of current day Metallica utterly and morbidly fascinating. |

funny how no one else will say anything cause its not cult enough.
id rather listen to m. o. p. then 10 beherit clones any fucking day. |
My thoughts exactly. The stigma attached to Metallica is enough to drive some metalheads away from their early classic albums even, but I still hold fast to my praise & enjoyment of "Ride the lightning" and "Master of puppets". But M.O.P. is their most solid work for sure, and probably the apex speed metal album too. None shall compare! |
I have a difficult time listening to Metallica currently than when I was much younger. Before the horrid black album was released Metallica was one of my favorite bands, but after that disgraceful display of cashing in, it made listening to the classic Metallica very trying due to what they became. Kill 'em All is probably my favorite of theirs because of its reckless abandon and penchant for speed, but I can't recall the last time I listened to it. Sad, really. _________________ "Order From Chaos, this band knows how to metal and they know how to satan and they most definitely know how to arghgh.
