These kind of threads make me feel like Carrie getting asked to the prom. How do I know that the tape is not just a recording of you laughing at me?

No shit. I guess this is only for people who buy music without having heard the band before or for those that are familiar with the band from neighborhood 'rituals'.

True. It is my thought that in this age where every single thing is given freely, and every fucking release has a pre-release stream and circle jerk with free download, at least this could remain shrouded in a bit of mystery. I don't know what to tell you, don't buy it I guess.

don't mean to get into an argument, everyone conducts themselves as they wish and kudos to people who keep making underground music, it's just that saying, 'this release will come out on this date but you can't hear any of it until you buy it', is a bit...mmmhh, puzzling.

No offense taken. I definitely know what you mean. I usually preview music before I buy it myself.

There might be a middle ground, but putting up the whole thing on Bandcamp for everyone and their dog to just stream feels like a disservice to the material and anti-climactic. Nothing against Bandcamp, it's a great tool for UG artists and I've used it before. That's just not the way this was intended to be heard.

To say I have high confidence in this release is a huge understatement and is the reason why I am being so particular about it.

Totally OK with no stream. But at least give some nice description...more then just "Black Metal from Seattle". Something like:

"GOATFSKKKULLUKKING ATOMICBLACKDEATH GASMASKVIRGINPUSSY HOLOKKKOST, ARGHHHH" from Ross Bay/Seattle or...

"Cosmic-like experience for all sigil-loving hipsters out there. In the vein of Bolzer, Mgla..."

this is great, if not just straight up fact.give us something. im sure that since theres only 50 copies youll sell them for sure, but maybe some of us would happily shell out $8 plus s&h without an audio sample(although yes, id love a sample) if there was a description. either way with only 50 being made, youll get rid of em all soon enough anyway

Points taken, a better description has been added. I will also see about putting together some type of sample track.

A crude teaser pieced together from several of the tracks has been made, adding soundcloud link to original post.

Tapes are expected from the factory by mid-March.

Ekhidna Records will have copies in Canada.

Sounds alright that. Nicely rehearsal, but clear. However; is there a bass guitar?? Doesn't sound like it.

There isn't bass in the usual context, but it is utilized in some atmospheric sections.
