New tape on Unrest Productions!

Cauldhame is an industrial/power electronics project from the UK, formed in 2008. “Debris” is the first in a series of works on the theme of mental illness; a portrayal of the damage inflicted by a failing, mismanaged healthcare system and a culture of wilful ignorance, delivered across 8 tracks in 50 minutes of densely detailed industrial/PE. An attack on the misappropriation of “Messianic Delusion” and other textbook tropes as comedic cliché, released within a week of UK supermarkets withdrawing “Mental Patient” Hallowe’en costumes from their shelves.

CAULDHAME - Debris, C52 is out tomorrow!

Can anyone recommend more rhythmic PE like Iron Fist of the Sun?

Concrete Mascara could be quite close but their material is not all too rhythmic. Plays around with high freq sounds and distorted/processed vocals, hence reminding me a little bit of IFOTS. IFOTS is definitely one of the most unique projects in the genre, can't say I like their material though. Sold/traded away my collection years ago.

Here's a track from "Excess Takes Its Toll": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_vYXdudPTc

Another quite similar, but more "atmospheric" than CM, could be Damien Dubrovnik/Loke Rahbek material. I can pretty much recommend all their releases but here's few samples:

Damien Dubrovnik - Europa Dagbog: http://youtu.be/jM8yWfaIEgg
LR - America Disfigured: http://youtu.be/H3APLaqMRUI

Again, I must remind that they aren't 100% similar with IFOTS but could be of your interest. As you can hear, Damien Dubrovnik/LR are more synth driven and therefore can be closer to IFOTS than CM but all three worth to check IMO. The CM sample track isn't very good, the tape itsef is FUCKING AMAZING so yeah, I recommend you to grab it in case it's still available.

Agreed on Content Nullity. The tape released on SSP was awesome. And anything with a Taxi Driver sample automatically wins in my book.

Itching for another release from this guy.

From one italian film of 90ies :"Teste Rasate", this soundtrack was done just for this movie. I don't care if is techno or white power electronics

shameful self-promotion:
www.garrote.bandcamp.com
In the process of trying to get a new job/new equipment, so more material is on the horizon.

And in other news, Cremation Lily, F.E. Denning, Coma Detox, and Crown of Cerberus are awesome.

Cool

Not PE, but a great project. If you like Mack's stuff, check out his PE projects Disgust and Koufar, or his harsh noise project Bachir Gemayel, all incredible.

Koufar is great. I'll have to check out the other stuff you mentioned.

Came across this blog;
http://thethingonthedoorstep.be/blog/
A LOT of stuff that I didn't know exists. There's industrial, darkwave, ambient, electronic and so forth, especially from the 80s and 90s.
So far I've downloaded some 30-40 compilations and discovered names like
ptose, brain discipline, lyke wake, nightmare lodge, double nelson, O T O, nocturnal emissions, controlled bleeding, tesendalo, brume, cent ans de solitude, desaccord majeur, the hafler trio, vidna obmana, jass, john avery, that qualifies for further inspection.
Mind you, I'm out of my comfort zone with this type of music, so while they are discoveries for me, they might be old news for you.
