As YK suggested here's a sanctuary for polish death/thrash obscurities from the Curtain and half drawn Curtain era... It initially started with MAGNUS - hence the thread title, but it goes about all underground/half exposed bands who never wore zebra trousers and too big shades, so Kat and Destroyers with full respect dont fit...its about SLAUGHTER (seaside), SLASHING DEATH, BETRAYER, EXORCIST, THRASHER DEATH, TERMINATOR etc... it's about spikes and neanderthal looks...
And explain me how to upload pics, dammit...

What about Pandemonium? I think these guys are still around.
1. Use photobucket.com to host photos.
2. Cut and paste URL here.
3. Highlight URL and click on the "Img" button at the top.
4. Click on Submit and you should see the photo appear in your post.
Photobucket actually provides messageboard ready URLs.

yes, Poland had some of the best Death Metal scenes ever. Great bands like Magnus, Imperator, Betrayer, Armagedon, Pandemonium (now doing something like new Samael, but way way better and darker), Exekuthor, Abnerration, Ghost, Merciless Death and dozens others. Raging.
I just discovered a new CD from 1999. The band is called Askalon, their CD is called Armageddon. Mix Vader with Morbid Angel (ok, typical Polish influences) with Mexican stuff like Necroccultus and Shub Niggurath. Aaarghhhhhhhhh.... |

i dont have Wine of satan but i dont think its polish Pandemonium....
Pandemonium still is active playing some shows and they have CD called Hellspawn.... but i have not listen to it yet...
Check another polish band

no, there are 2 different Askalon. In my mentioned band a Non Opus Dei member played there.
The Pandemonium on the "Wine Of Satan" sampler are from Poland. The song "Sunless Domain" is taken from their awesome Devilri Demo '92. |
