It certainly isnīt the drums which make NIFELHEIM agressive. And I of course agree they are... Itīs the whole package, but I think they would be even more agressive with Lee Griffiths, DD Crazy or Ventor on drums.

But NIFELHEIM is a bad example of what I was trying to say. I just think those plastic drummers donīt sound agressive...

I agree for the most part, but Krisiun is pretty aggressive, tight drumming included.

fuckin A to this, Carl Michael is one of my favorite drummers period

Fuckin' A again! Also check out Cadaver's "Necrosis" album for more Carl-Michael craziness.

Surprised nobody mentioned Abigor's "Fractal Possession" (i haven't heard the latest one yet). The drumming on that is truly phenomenal.

Because Antaeus drumming ain't really complex. It's just fast.

I think Blood Libels has really technical drumming.

Pardon the shameless self-plug, but I feel compelled to mention my own drummer in Ipsissimus. We've had no luck finding a suitable replacement since he left for Germany last May.

Check out "The Second Secret of Fatima"

In Samael BLOOD RITUAL, I find a high technique, and I like when drums seem to go far away from the bass lines, aparently it could be an error, but later we notice it is done on purpose...
