It's probably all in your head, or the colored vinyl is dirty and you can't tell because it's hard to see dirt on certain colored vinyl.

no, definitely not in my head. on most, if not all, pic discs i own there's this sound, hard to describe, but it's like the normal sound a needle makes in a lead in/trail off groove, but louder and lower in pitch, almost kind of a rumble or maybe even like wind blowing, if that makes sense. |

to clarify, my response was to dodens grav post about pic discs, i wasn't talking about colored vinyl. most colored vinyl sounds just fine to me. |

OH yeah of course there is a difference between regular vinyl and picture disk. They are made from different material. Pic disks have more suface noise.

I think it's made the same way as Sodom "M-16" LP that was recently released: that's just a picture disc, basically, with fake labels as well

The hipster grindcore band, The Locust, made a camouflage colored vinyl LP at Erica Records. It looked more like splatter vinyl than camo though.
