What is the insert on this? Just realized mine is absent. Is it lyrics, or..?

This is an album in dire need a of vinyl repress. It's nice having the CD, but that cover art would look even better as an LP cover; and I don't think I would ever pay the $150+ that it takes to buy this.

Yeah... but you know if they repress it they're going to fuck off and use a different cover like fags.

That's what they did with the CD repress. What the fuck was the point of that? One of the best things about late 80s/early 90s death metal was the album covers. They were one my of my guides when I'd buy tapes/CDs as a young'un 20 years ago.

Shadows of the Past 2CD has both the new cover and the old, original one.

Thanks for the info. I've seen a lot of these without inserts, must not have made it into the whole run.

As I've said before, the insert is nothing important here as you have the same info on the back cover.

Wait, did this ever come with an insert? All the copies I've come across through the years never had one.

There's no denying that keeping classics available is a splendid move, still, sometimes represses can turn out somewhat off-putting, be it due to botched remasters or goofy layout changes. "Shadows of Past" is a prime example for the latter imho as previous reissues by Century Media and Cosmic Key Creations looked they simply ran out of ideas, especially for the back cover. The more I'm excited that there will be a new batch on Cosmic Key Creations with a layout that is completely recreated based on the original Thrash release. FINALLY!

I finished the Sentenced book just earlier this week and been playing their material quite a bit. Definitely going to get that repress.
