I must have amazing luck w/ BoB releases because all the ones I have sound great and I've no issues w/ whack art or anything like that.

Hopefully the quality will be more along the lines of the Bolt Thrower - In Battle There is No Law and Amebix - Monolith reissues and less like almost everything else they've ever done. Laughing

Most of the Cannibal Corpse ones, the Hvis Lyset Tar Oss one, a Dismember one, some other that I can't remember off the top of my head, all sound good and have retained their sound over the years so maybe I'm just lucky?

I've got about a dozen Back on Black and all are along the same lines as every other vinyl release out there.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away a Burzum BOB was pressed that wasn't up to par. Ever since then people have been BOBphobic and assume everything they've ever done sounds terrible. Let them sit this one out, makes it easier for the rest of us to get copies.

So, yeah. BOB is awful. Avoid. Only get the original pressing, trust me guys.

I know a bunch of BOB covers look shitty, pixelated, like they just blew up a low quality jpg made from a CD cover.

I have more of a problem with the unnecessary bonus tracks BOB tends to add. Live tracks on CC studio albums(that arenít even from the same era) and splitting up the Dismember debut into DLP just to add some demo tracks comes to mind immediately.

Those early Burzum Lp looked a bit shitty. I have other BOB releases that are fine. I also have other vinyl in my collection from other labels where the art looks shitty. hey-ho

I'll be picking these up. the top two I have never owned in any format

BOBV505LP - Pungent Stench - Club Mondo Bizarre
BOBV506LP - Pungent Stench - Dirty Rhymes & Psychotronic Beats
BOBV507LP - Pungent Stench - First Recordings

I think I'll just stick with my old cd's, unless the first recordings one has stuff other than the bonus tracks on FGYSFMYF.

I wonder what cover they'll use for the first album. Hopefully Joel-Peter Witkin's.

Not sure if you can really make two gay corpses making out any uglier.
