Traditional doom/heavy metal with the mighty Phil Swanson on vocals. No doubt this will be one of the best releases of the year.

Even though Mr.Swanson might be the star of this ensemble, I strongly urge you to also check out main-man Martin Sparvath's main band;

Altar of Oblivion

the best scandinavian band of the 00s IMO

Agreed, Altar Of Oblivion are incredible. I'm really looking forward to that 7" they're putting out this year.

the 7" and the coming full length are also the most anticipated releases for me this year!

Journey's End just announced this recently:

Quote:
we will release a brand new 7" by ALTAR OF OBLIVION. This is a label split release with Cyclopean Records (USA). Cyclopean are currently working on the layout of the 7" and it will be sent off to the pressing plant as soon as possible!

they'll also release the Vinyl version of the Lords of Triumph EP (this time as a split with Mountain Throne).

So it's Altar Of Oblivion with Phil Swanson on vocals, haha. Works for me.
