http://www.vintagevinylnews.com/2014/05/digging-deeper-axl-rose-is-not-singer.html

Is this site legit?

Mike Patton 6 octaves, 1/2 note?
Corey Taylor 5 octaves, 5-1/2 notes??? Seriously?
Rob Halford, Geoff Tate and Ian Gillan same vocal range as Phil Anselmo????
Eric Adams same vocal range as Rob Zombie?

I'm not a musician or an expert but this seems wrong.

Halford/Tate along with Anselmo? I'm obviously no expert in this area.

From Snakepit #2:

Interviewer: How wide is the range of your voice now?

Eric Adams: We checked it last time we recorded, and it was little over 4 octaves.

Bizarre. I can believe that about Patton, but Roger Waters that high up the list?

Then waaaay down the list, Ian Gillian, Freddie Mercury, Tom Araya and Captain Beefheart tying at 4 octaves???

Maybe in the Glory Ride days of MANOWAR. Adams voice now is not so good...

Peter Steele (Eb1 to F#5) 4 octaves, 2 notes??
This is wrong. Steele has a wider vocal range.

Maybe so, but I'm pretty sure they aren't referring to Peter Steele in the year 2014 either.

Maybe he is still alive? Laughing

I tend to fantasize that Petrus Ratajczyk is still alive... In the 80's, in the CARNIVORE daze.
CARNIVORE's Nuclear Cold War Speed Metal was his best output, ever.
FALLOUT EP also rules.
