Some reviews of the record, this one from Metal Temple:
Quote:
"Hailing from New York the three piece of Throaat does not hide their evil and primitive intentions. An authentic and filthy mix of black, thrash and heavy metal in its earliest form is what they are producing. Expect a dark, eerie atmosphere and killer artwork for this 7 cover folder!"

This one from Chaos Vault, a Polish language review (internet translation below)-
Quote:

"I have not heard before about Throaat (no, I wedged too many letters), and now I have the opportunity to make up for this oversight. Because this is actually an oversight, considering how good the material is a new single.

New Yorkers deal with black / speed metal, which makes me happy because I like the genre, it is certainly well played. On "The Light / Evil Dead" is. Cool metal which draws inspiration arranged by Mercyful Fate, old Tormentor, Angelreaper and other dark bands from time immemorial. These are just two pieces, and about ten minutes of music, but it makes me terribly - good riffs, dark atmosphere and climate captured eighties. Throaat knows how to see how it should be formulated black / speed metal to the listener tickled. The whole thing is very classic, so many a decoy in katana will head waved to those sounds - I can replay it myself a few times in a row and not get bored at all. Great stuff.

I do not have much more to write about "The Light / Evil Dead" - who just like I neglected to read the work of this team should make up for his own good.

Rating: 8/10"

This is really excellent. I've wanted to hear more since the EVIL SPELLS compilation.

Responded and huge thanks. Thought you've been criminally underrated since I found out about you on fucking bandcamp for fuck's sake. But then again, it means the site at least served a slight purpose and put metal in the right place instead of the multitudes of fourth and fifth generation Neurosis/Isis clones. But that's a separate conversation.

MAKE THE FULL LENGTH ABSOLUTELY FILTHY.

Man, I've found tons of good shit on Bandcamp. TONS. Throaat included.

Different exposures or experiences? Most of the things I own on bandcamp were from physical releases and 85+% I've known about before the site existed. This band I found due to that website and never anywhere else. That's what I'm saying is a shame.
