Just bought and listened twice "Bride of insect" and it's brilliant, pure sickness. Is Carrion for Worm better (i mean is it even possible?)? What about the non-metal releases?

i love that band. i also have the caveat demo and i think it has the best ND recordings on it (1987 & 1988 demos and a rehearsal cut). more thrashier and the vocals are different
carrion for worm is extremely bassy and possibly even more sick than the debut. see for yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmmK1WM4KeI
also highly recommended is the for our dead EP , the last of the classic releases http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=07A5217324C4E53E&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&v=YeZ9gbC1GLk&rclk=pt1
i never got into all creatures and everything later

I have a couple of their very early demos (~1986) and Lori's vocals are so hilarious. She does these operatic wails.

It's great stuff, though. I think Bride is my favourite

If you're talking about the stuff on "Welcome to the Minds of the Morbid", those vocals are awesome!

Killer band! The lyrics are probably the best, and totally unique compared to other bands that write about gore.

ND have some of the most WARPED LSD DAMAGE lyrics EVER. read them and fucking weep. Bride of Insect has a production edge that none of their other records has - it's a total shitstorm of reverb and treble that i find extremely engaging.

their later stuff isn't really metal, but totally deranged sub-prog/no-wave experimental music. it's completely weird and over the edge into drug-hallucination land. i like it, but i could see why it wouldn't appeal to hardcore metalheads.
