Any fans of this classic nwobhm-band?

Been spinning my Tank-LPs alot the past few days. They are playing at
the Metal Merchants Festival in Oslo/Norway this upcoming weekend,
ought to be brilliant! http://www.metalmerchantsfestival.com/

Just don't expect to hear Tank!

They sound more like Rainbow nowadays with Doogie White, and when I saw them didn't even have that classic dirty guitar sound. They were still brilliant though! But just not in the way I was expecting!

Algy = Tank

His voice is the musical equivalent of drinking a triple shot of whiskey while still smoking a cigarette Laughing

I dig This Means War, Honour And Blood and that "anarchy" LP very much.
I like the first two too, but I prefer these three much better.
That reunion, Still At War album, is it worth getting?

I saw them at Headbangers Open Air last year and was VERY dissapointed... mostly because I thought that Algy Ward was going to be on vocals.

I've got Filth Hounds of Hades and Power of the Hunter/Tank on CD... fucking legendary band!!!!

'Still At War' is definitely worth looking at. It's reminiscent of 'Honour and Blood'.

I thought Power Of The Hunter was remarkably lame compared to the rest of the early stuff (except the cool intrumental)
the debut & blood + honour are my favourite
great heavy nwobhm with balls

A bit off topic, but I couldn't help it; any WARGASM fans out there? They were a combination of TANK/NWOBHM/and early METALLICA.
To be fair, they weren't really influenced by METALLICA, they had the exact same record collections as Lars.

I have Power of The Hunter, and it's awfull. 3rd range Motrhead-clone with really weak vocal.

Doogie White ruined the Tank gig on the Headbangers Open Air for me, although they were one of the reasons for me to come.
When hearing Trouble live a short time after that, I thought that their new singer would be fitting perfectly for Tank, but that's just senseless thoughts of me. Wink
