$100 for a fucking bootleg pressed last week. Record collecting has reached level of inane stupidity that I just can't wrap my head around.

I wouldn't have a problem with that (pretty reasonable price) if it had the CD included. At least try to pass it off as a one-off limited edition lol

We have seen labels flipping their own shit on this very forum, so it's actually quite expected to see on shit sites like Discogs.

wonder what he actually EXPECTS to sell it for... he is open to offers. wonder if he'd bite for $20x shippings on me this time.

2) $2000 Mtiilation Vampires Of Black Imperial Blood (2xLP, Ltd)

Quite funny / ridiculous to see "underground" BM record on top of that list. Well, #2 but anyway. Then there's several Genocide Organ LP's too Laughing

The G.O. is no surprise, long before discogs prices their records still fetched a ton, and they always will. Industrial/noise/PE fans Tend to be willing to pay crazy amounts for some stuff, and I'm sure a lot of them are in positions where they can afford to. G.O. being, well... G.O., those prices will always happen. Through internet transactions anyway.
even reissues (of the few albums they've reissued) sell for hundreds.

not at all surprised to see so much industrial and experimental stuff on here. definitely some of the most collectable/sought after styles of music. expected to see Coil and Throbbing Gristle on there for sure, Les Joyaux De La Princesse, Merzbow, etc. not surprised by the italo disco either.

the person who got the Pet Shop Boys "Yes" box set got a steal (compared to what it's went for since release, i guess). they paid the equivalent of $1050 CAD (they bought it a month after it was released). since then copies have all sold in the mid-$2000 range. a copy sold last fall for nearly $9000 (?!!?!?!??!!!)

checking a few of these and finding copies for a fraction of the documented sales prices is pretty funny. Keefy Keef 12" sold for nearly $1700 CAD, there's a copy up right now for $300.

on the topic of holy grail industrial records... someone sold both SPK - Factory 7" and Mekano 7" last year for under $50. that record had never even been listed on discogs before, as far as i know. they said it was their copy and had been in storage for decades... they clearly had no clue what they were sitting on. located in australia, i have no doubt they were legit copies that had just been overlooked and stored away somewhere by someone who was completely out of touch.

There was a much recent top 30 list, but the only remotely underground record that was in it was a 7" Flexi by The Execute which sold for apparently $2,203(the actual discogs listing shows the price at $2,289.96)
