Did they change their rates for large boxes over 12"? I was surprised to see their online calculator revamped and parcel post the only option for mailing large packages: http://postcalc.usps.gov/

Fucking bizarre, I wonder if they're losing money again?

I noticed the rates went up around the holidays as well. Too bad I'm so loyal to USPS.

Jan. 4th things changed. As usual it's confusing to anyone who doesn't work at the post office.

German postage rates went up as well. Parcel for LP inside Germany is now something like 4.30€ instead of 3.90€. Towards the outside it rose as well I was told in the post office, but they didn't had the new price-flyers printed where you can see all rates to anywhere.

I was told by the local postmaster, that the USPS will raise the rates every May or when they feel it is necessary to do so.

Thanks mate! I dont know the weight - its a normal lp - lets just say 180g vinyl + cover....
Denmark is denmark - the price should be the same to anywhere in the country... The thing is I never apyed more than 20 usd for one LP.... more likely 15 or even less!

Cheers!

I calculated the postage and it should only cost 15.99 - 21.45 for an LP or a DLP to be posted from the US to DK via First-Class Mail International Package.

Take into consideration ebays new draconian seller rules.
As a seller YOU are responsible if the package arrives or not, wether buyer wants registered or not.
So I assume most sellers charge registered for all international shipments outright now, and then it's very likely the price is around 25-35

I hope post rates have not gone up recently. If so I will have to check with my local post office to see what new rates are. Sounds like it's going to get more expensive to order records again.
