I have been listening to this non-stop for the last few days. I sense a distinct influence from certain eastern European/Czech masters. Are there any other albums from the last ten years that sound like this?

How does Dub Buk's first album compare? I've gotten the idea from reviews that it's more like Nokturnal Mortum, whom I've never been a fan of. Is there any NM stuff that has this same Thrashy vibe? (I've only really ever check out Goat Horns and NeChrist)[/i]

no Dub Buk fans? I think most of their material sounds alike. worth checking out for sure if you like them. some of the Russian BM bands are amazing or totally bizarre. I generally like most of it. bands like Forest are good also but in a different way.

check out 'Kataxu' or "legion of doom (grc)" for similar bands. Not exactly like Dub Buk though.

I've only heard a couple of tracks on YouTube, and besides that, I've never listened to them. But that what I heard sounds just fine... I'll check them out Smile

I prefer Legios of Doom but not a big fan, I also have Kataxu - Hunger of Elements CD for trade in case you need it. Smile

This album is a pure killer!

Same goes for Idu Na Vy

The only band that can be compared to them (that I know) is Svyatogor. But surprise surprise, there are Dub Buk members involved Wink

If you need some Svyatogor files to get an impression drop me a line.

Legion of Doom is pretty solid, though I can't say I listen to them too often. I will check out Kataxu again, but I think the stuff I've heard from them was a bit too symphonic for my tastes (though of course Dub Buk is pretty symphonic too).

I am listening to Svyatogor right now for the first time. This seems really promising. I've never been a fan of Norse stuff, but I could listen to this type of BM all day.
