Check out ANWYL. First MCD Bloody Mary was Black Metal, by the full length Postmortem Apocalypse released on Drakkar, they had clearly turned to Death Metal with a strong ANGEL CORPSE vibe.

Infernal War sounds nothing like Angelcorpse, they remind me of old Marduk.

I always thought that Impiety sound JUST LIKE Angelcorpse.

Heheh, I also had Postmortem Apocalypse in my mind when I saw the thread title. Bloody Mary was awful but the full-length is indeed very much like Angelcorpse, except a bit thrashier. And pretty good at that too! Some fuckin' aggressive drumming there.

Wouldn't say FOE are exactly in that vein but hell, everyone should track that album down at any cost. It's a masterpiece.

Yep Allfather definitely from what I recall... not that memorable stuff though.

Ravager and Hacavitz bring to mind that small trend on Osmose etc., bands who ripped off Angelcorpse & Krisiun and all had these demonic Petagno covers. Ha!

Face of Evil, definitely.

What's up with these guys ? A second full-length would be a nice surprise for '10.

Indeed FACE OF EVIL come up every once in a while. I've actually scoured around trying to find any info about this band and it's members, even contacting the label that released the debut full length...and nothing. Apparently the band gave the master recording to the label and broke off all contact right after, that is what METALBLOOD records guy said to me.
I've even tried encouraging labels I'm associated with to attempt to aquire the rights to do a rerelease of this album so it does not simply fade away into total oblivion........who knows.
Great band, they don't sound TOO MUCH like ANGELCORPSE, at least much less than some of the others mentioned on this thread..........

Newest Iskra SLAYS. I'm amazed more people aren't into them.
