I am looking for bands/albums that have the as great melodic guitarwork and a similar calm and majestic mood as the following:

Mrk Gryning - Tusen Ar Har Gatt
Setherial - Nord
Mephistopheles - Modern Instincts Purity
Non Serviam - Between Light and Darkness
Old Man's Child - Born of the Flickering
Misericordia
Lord Belial

one recommendation is enough!
it doesn't need to be "rare" or "underground", just good music!
a decent production would be fine too

Thank you very much!

thank you very much! All I haven't heard so far. I do not remember Hellsaw being very melodic when I saw them live, but I will check them too...

I actually just got the Hellsaw... the 1st part is more melodic. The 2nd part is just a reissue of their "Sins of Might" cd ...not too melodic. (hehe) more staright forward deathy sounding.

A couple more are Blazemth "Fatherland" and Funeral Rites "Necroeater" Comparisons to FR would be Burzum) they are a Japanese BM Band. \m/

Diabolical Masquerade's "Phantom lodge" and "Ravendusk...." are two excellent albums before this thing became a trend.

Fuck that, Sacramentum's Far Away from the Sun. That album sticks out to me as much as Storm of the Light's Bane as far as melodic metal goes, though this is more straightforward black metal compared to Dissection's masterpiece.

I have honestly never been into this style of fast, ultra melodic black metal. Bands like Dissection, Sacramentum, Setherial, OMC for instance- while actually very good, are rather "meh" for my taste.
