Same here.

EI=eh sound. I have no idea why someone would see TEItanblood and think TItanblood.

I've always seen "teitan" was an archaic variant spelling of the word "titan".
I first encountered it myself when Order From Chaos released "An Ending in Fire" on CD. There in the booklet you can read the line:
"Journey the ways that soon be followed...The rebel teitan Prometheus" and hear Helmkamp's pronunciation of the word in the song Plateau of Invincibility.

Of course I was familiar with this song/lyric from the earlier 10"/MCD where the familiar spelling of "titan" is used.

That's a good point, plus the "EI" spelling could be like "eye" as it is in German

Not a valid point really; to sight* another persons miss-pronunciation... Razz

/ei/ in English sounds like the a in made, same, take, etc... the dipthong ei in german sounds like "eh" as in egg or leg...same in spanish.

As the band is from Spain I'd have to side with the pronunciation Tey-tan (Teh-tan)..

Forget the name. Someone pointed out who they are in some other thread...

kleine?
nein?
meine?

don't know any words in German where "ei" sounds like "eh".

However, you may be right in this case, as some quick googling pulled this up (and a few other examples, but this one will do):

http://www.ridingthebeast.com/resources/two-babylons/t/teitan.html

Basically, it looks like Teitan is some other language way of saying Satan (T instead of S), so the proper pronounciation would be Taytan. I stand corrected!

Sorry if this has been discussed already but Knelt Rote: "Nelt Roat" or K-nelt Roteh"? And what is a Knelt Rote anyway?

Knelt = A past tense and a past participle of kneel
Rote = 1. A memorizing process using routine or repetition, often without full attention or comprehension: learn by rote.
2. Mechanical routine.

and ya say it as "NELT WROTE".

Hehe, wasn't basing that point on some percieved infallibility in Herr Helmkamp's works.
Just always concluded that teitan and titan were the same word, but as ADB has shown, it seems teitan is something different after all.

It's TI-TAN-BLOOD. The "ei" is an archaic spelling.

AOSOTH seems to be AW-SOTH or OW-SOTH.

No, wrong.

"Ei" like in mein, dein, sein etc. is spelled like "I" or "Eye".

I've never seen Titan spelt like that, I thought it was just made up metal way of spelling Titan until I did some research (above)

youre right, teitan has nothing to do with titan. despite the similarities in the words i doubt there is even a slight etymological link.

Now, on inquiry, it will actually be found, that while Saturn was the name of the visible head, Teitan was the name of the invisible head of the beast [of Revelation 13]. Teitan is just the Chaldean form of Sheitan, the very name by which Satan has been called from time immemorial by the Devil-worshippers of Kurdistan; and from Armenia or Kurdistan,19 this Devil-worship embodied in the Chaldean Mysteries came westward to Asia Minor, and thence to Etruria and Rome. It is undeniable . . . that Teitan, in Pagan belief, was identical with the Dragon, or Satan.20
