vinyl news for this?

Just working out some of the fine details. But it looks like it should be out the first quarter of 2010. 3 or so bonus tracks.
I think Avantgarde wanted to limit it to 500 with 100 diehard.
I shall keep you guys posted

Could anyone recommend a good record to start checking out this project? The discography is too huge to know where to start.

My personal recommendation would be almost anything released since 2008. You don't probably want to touch A Pact with Madness yet which is, well, different. So I would say The Serpents Reign / The Blood of the Ancients. And probably the newest full-length and EP, but I haven't heard them much yet (waiting for vinyl).

Blood of the Ancients, An Alignment of Dead Stars and The Weeping Moon.

The recent material is indeed a lot better than the earlier. Biggest improvement is not just on song writing but using a full-line up with real drums and not programmed ones.

I do still like some of the older too. Of Celtic Blood & Satanic Pride is great.

Have to agree with that, especially about "Of Celtic...".

EDIT: And yeah I totally forgot to mention The Weeping Moon. If you're not looking for a full-length to start with, then this is probably the best.
