I'm not sure that they sound like those mentioned in the original post, but you should definitely check out Häive - Mieli Maassa. I always thought of their sound as "folkened black" Cool.

Yeah, that album rules. I also recommend it.

You're all wrong. The only folk-influenced album you ever, will EVER need:

ENSLAVED - VIKINGLIGR VELDI

Nokturnal Mortum - Goat Horns and Lunar Poetry, of course. Though the later albums of this band are shit.

Russian Temnozor is good, one of the few folkish black metal bands I enjoy listening to.

Peste Noire's latest album could be counted here also. It's a border-line case, but the folk/medieval influences are pretty obvious.

I agree with the Hunok and Myling recommendations. There is a track on Hunok's myspace site that, I think, is not on any of their releases and it's really great. Real Graveland demo era feeling.

Ulver - Bergtatt is very unique but some old Viking stuff evokes the same atmosphere:

Helrunar - Grátr (highly recommended)
Helheim - Jormundgand
Helheim - Av norroen aett
Negura Bunget - 'N crugu bradului
Drautran - Unter dem Banner der Nordwinde

Negura Bunget has been released as LP by Those Opposed Records about two weeks ago.

Hin Onde from Finland (especially the debut CD) and I heavily second Bak De Syv Fjell.

Do any of the bands mentioned have clean vocal parts too?
