Five. Eleven. Whatever. These are probably my favorites of 2014 (so far)

I am thinking that the new Pharmakon will probably make it onto this list too.

Panopticon
Domains
Drowned
Saor
Kriegsmachine
Blut Aus Nord
Dead Congregation
Diocletian
Emptiness
Hilliard Ensemble
Kevin Drumm

EDIT: 10/15/2014

1.) SWALLOWED
2.) RiB
3.) DOMAINS
4.) DEAD CONGREGATION
5.) DIOCLETIAN

Number one for me is easily Bohren & Der Club Of Gore - Piano Nights

That can change if Pagan Altar releases their new album before the year is up.

I'm going to have to give this one another listen. For whatever reason I listened to it a couple of times and then stopped. I really really loved Dolores.

Yes, definitely do. It has that same vibe that "Sunset Mission" has. All Bohren is incredible. One of the best things music has to offer these days.

Thantifaxath
Drowned
Solstafir
Nasheim
Hateful Abandon
Funereal Presence

Teitanblood, Portrait and Dead Congregation are very good, but perhaps a level below, as is Mosaic.

New Goatmoon and Darkspace are too new to me as yet for a full verdict, and the enormity of Reverorum Ib Malacht also requires time.

Swallowed might just top the lot though, if they can fulfil the potential shown so far. Can't wait to hear it.

Many let downs this year, but I really like:
Kriegsmaschine - Enemy of Man
Schammasch - Contradiction
Funereal Presence - The Archer Takes Aim
Dead Congregation - Promulgation of the Fall
Teitanblood - Death

Kriegsmaschine - Enemy of Man (first pick)
Funereal Presence - The Archer Takes Aim
Dead Congregation - Promulgation of the Fall
Bölzer - Soma

Worthy mention: Yellow Eyes - The Desert Mourns

I need to check out the new Blood of Kingu and Hateful Abandon albums. They might make it to the list. I'm also anticipating the new Swallowed.

Certainly. New Obliti Devoravit is sweet, as is (are?) the new RiM album (yeah I know), even though I haven't checked the tape yet.
