i just saw that those songs are on the albums each released in 2007 too, so i guess this single is just a preview, but when you have the album the single is worthless, only an additional cover you got.

correct if im wrong, but this is kinda stupid not to put a single out with 2 exclusive songs instead of reusing those on their albums.....

Hmm not totally sure, havent listened that 7" for a long time but they could have been different mix of the songs on album. If not, it is useless considering it got released after each bands albums. Both songs are not even near best of those bands.

It makes way more sense to do these before the album the songs come from is out to work as a promotional release, but I guess these are often done for tradition and novelty nowadays. At least the typical B side song/cover song that they often have is something new.

They are a waste of both money and wax if you ask me.

Singles are basically obsolete in the internet age but of course there's always exceptions. That recent Satan's Satyrs single preceding the new album was cool and I really dug the b-side.

I guess that Horna just wants to release anything they record. Not much self-criticism there, haha. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the bands material quite a lot, like Envaatnags.... cd, but they pretty much record rehearshals and release them as a 7" or split 7". Calm down.

Immediately thought of the Deus Mortem - Darknessence 7".
The song Receiving the impurity of jeh is also on their album, but this version I find superior. The Sigh cover on the B-side is great as well.
And the presentation is excellent, it being a nice gatefold sleeve.

I don't get when the single has absolutely the same songs as on the album. Makes no sense to buy it, only for collectors. Great example - Triptykon - Breathing single. Totally worthless piece of wax if you ask me.

I like when there's some raw mixes, covers or unreleased songs on it, then it's cool for me.

The Peste Noire track is credited as a bonus track from the split with Horna on Folkfuck Folie. I'm not sure that song is actually a part of the album. I own both LP and MC versions and both say it is a bonus track.

"Paysage Mauvais" is not part of the Folkfuck Folie album, it was indeed added as a bonus track on the LP and MC releases.

Paysage Mauvais is one of the best songs on the LP so I'm not complaining they put it on there. Perhaps the most chaotic KPN song.

My guess is it's from the same recording session but wasn't originally intended as part of the album.
