All the old 80's albums are more or less essential... Agent Orange has a few good tracks, and some filler.
For later Sodom, I HIGHLY recommend "M-16" from 2001. I have never met a Sodom fan in person that doesn't worship this album.

M-16 is indeed a killer record. LEAD INJECTION. Also, the hilarious cover of Surfin' Bird (which apparently destroys in concert).

Funny...Lead Injection is probably my least favorite song on the album!
Amoung the Weirdcong, I AM THE WAR, Little Boy, CANNON FODDER,Marines,.......
Great record, though.

Sodom rules supreme!

In my opinion the mighty "In the Sign of Evil" really is the most evil record ever made. One of the best ones ever for sure. You can't go wrong with all the classic albums by Sodom. Actually the newest album "The Final Sign of Evil" was really nice surprise; strong album and it has the same atmosphere as that legendary EP.

Btw, Better Off Dead is pretty underrated album I think. Great record and for me it is even better than "Agent Orange".

THE SIN OF SODOM...

Yes !
Very underrated album. It's the closest one to death metal in fact. Awesome riffing.

Fuck yeah it's great. Probably the most aggressive Sodom release. HARSH!

True, they're all quite great. Sodom as a band in general has never really fallen off much like their counterparts Kreator and such. They were always the best in Germany to begin with, no surprise!

Don't forget the Code Red CD. With Book Burning they have their most Death Metal alike song on a record. There is also a limited edition, that included a Tribute To Sodom CD as bonus to the Code Red CD.

I think Tribute to Moby Dick (instrumental) is also very deathly Sodom's track (from Get Waht you deserve '94 album)

The bonus cd isn't that great... Dark Funeral playing Agent Orange? They should have took Jungle Rot's version (it slays). also, Krisiun's version of Nuclear Winter is awesome, the vocals, the drums, the faster speed, it just gives the song a totally new aesthetic.

But the main riff on Cannon Fodder \m/

Bullet in the head
Kick the bucket
Are you prepared?

There is a bullet in your head
To stop the way
You earn your bread

Forget the rules
Forget the odds
Protect your own
War is guts

Back to war

I had to do it, so catchy.

I have yet to have that american version, is it available on vinyl?

Yeah it was done by Metal Blade so it's really easy to find. The original Euro version on SPV is harder to find actually. Also the CD version that most people have has the American version of the recording.

is euro version the one with the intro "the soul that pines for eternity..."? i dont have either version Evil or Very Mad

I guess the one where "After the Deluge" is missing is the US-version? I have the 1988 CD-version from Steamhammer (with wrong tracklisting and the "In the Sign of Evil"-EP).

Yes, "After the Deluge" is not on the US version. On the CD the tracklist is for the Euro version but it is the US version that is on there.
