I would never pay that price. That's ridiculous to spend that much on a MLP that was about 20.00 max when it came out in the distros. Reason it's expensive because it bares the NIDROSIAN mark where as any release's under that moniker are going for insane prices. A OTOH demo cassette on ebay went for like 47.00 on Ebay its getting crazy this NIDROSIAN hysteria.
MARE just kicks ass hands down don't matter if they are related to the NIDROSIAN scene or not. |

of course this Nidrosian thing is getting insane. same with ancient records/mystery of death stuff or this tomhet/ormgard/whatever circle stuff.
problem: there will be no one giving this MLP away for 20 bucks anymore. |

Yeah the NIDROSIAN scene is blowing up and fetching high prices all over. I wonder why..Is it simply because it's great NORWEGIAN black metal or because it's so like a "cool" thing to like or collect who knows....Every so often the "it" thing in black metal happens and the NIDROSIAN scene is the current flavor being served. I remember when the KAOSRITUAL LP came out it was a 15.00 now its well over 100.00 crazy...
Out of curiosity what is this TOMHET/ ORMGARD circle you are speaking of? |

I suppose it's the whole Scythe of Death "circle" which seems pretty connected to the NIDROSIAN bands. Ormgård, WOD, Sons of Fenrir, Myrkr, Myling, Surtr etc etc

I have heard ORMGARD kicks ass but I don't think I have heard any of the other's any good?

If you resold it a month after it came out, absolutely. If the Mare MLP later proves to be some legendary collectible in 20 years you can laugh at me. But right now that MLP is just another new release among many.

yeah although I would count svartrit to that above mentioned ancient records/mystery of death staff (acerbitas, urkaos, hädenfärd, helgedom, etc.) simply because in all of these bands this Sir N. plays and all this stuff is released by a.r. or m.o.d. rex.
It will just need two weeks, I'm sure, and one of those three svartrit LPs pop up at ebay or discogs and sell for 50 euro or more. it was just crazy how two weeks ago they sold out here in germany within hours. |

| Those 3 Svartrit lp's will fetch a pretty penny soon your completely right. What's the big hype about them I mean I listened to all three albums pretty good stuff definitely majestic but I don't know if it's anything to write home about compared to other recent acts.On the same note MARE - THRONE OF THE THIRTEENTH WITCH 7" is fetching over a 100+ dollars on discogs.......people are raking in the dough on these NIDROSIAN acts. I'm sure SPHERES and THRONE will be reissued at some point it's only a matter of time. |
