Apologies in advance, for I know there was a thread about this once before. I hate thread necromancy, however, thus the repeat of the thread.

I got a promo CD from Hell's Headbangers today containing new tracks from Hahovej, Nunslaughter, Profanatica, and Atomizer. Ideally, the label picks the two best tracks for the promo, right? If so, then the new Havohej must not have much to boast for itself, unless HH included the two worst tracks rather than the two best. Who has this album, and is it any good at all? Did HH give false hints?

no, it's the right hint. The whole album is utter crap! Really.

The new Profanatica is going to destroy. I love what samples I've heard.

I want to like the new Havohej, but I don't know what to listen for. All I can hear is bass echoes and hisses. Confused

I like the new Havohej, but I dunno - I just put it on and let it go. I like the atmosphere.

I have the new Profanatica and it fucking rules. Heaviest, Darkest, most ritualistic shit they have ever recorded.

If you appreciate the experimental or whatever the fuck you want to call it mid-era of Havhoej I don't see how you couldn't love this album...it is almost like a culmination of Dethrone and all of the eps/mlps but still something totally different. I listen to a lot of experimental/noise/power electronics though as well so perhaps I'm a little biased compared to some of you.

Unholy Darkness and Impurity 7'' will always be the best Havohej release though easily.

That HHR sampler definitely has some excellent stuff on there, as soon as I heard Dishammer I had to buy the lp immediately, what a killer fucking record. The new Profanatica songs also have me extremely excited about the new album, sounds WAY better then Profanatas which I still thought was 'good'.

I like it. Just like the previous EP's from the last years. Great dark atmosphere and always killer vokals from Ledney!

I know people.

I have had it since June (almost 5 months, damn), I assume it is close to being out.

Sure, you can't headbang to it. You probably wouldn't want to be blasting this on your way to a metal party either. It's a love or hate album. I'm of the aforementioned position since I'm kind of a sucker for weird/fucked up music like this anyhow.

And that's because I'm a weird/fucked up individual. Wink
